"www.Info.cern.ch" was the first website on internet.
The first real web-SITE that was registered to the International Network of Communications was actually SYMBOLICS.COM.
Tim Berners-Lee, a British physicist credited for invention of the WORLD WIDE WEB.
He is a computer scientist and a MIT professor.On 25 december,1990 he succesfully implemented communication between a Hyper text protocol(HTTP) and web server.He is the founder of World wide Web association.
In March,1989 he intially proposed the idea of hypertext to CERN and in Robert Cailliau helped him to produce a revision of proposal and after that the proposal was accepted by the manager.
Hence, the first website was built at CERN and was put on line on August 6,1991.Info.cern.ch was the address of the world’s first-ever web site and web server, running on a NeXT computer at CERN.
